The American Heart Association (AHA) and Red Cross now
continually push and release new guidelines and best practices for cardiopulmonary resuscitation
(CPR) and emergency cardiovascular care (ECC) versus publishing a five (5) year update (last
major published update 2015).
These national CPR guidelines are continually digitally updated based
upon new science from published studies and research. Guidelines are in place to improve
bystander CPR rates, reduce rescue times, and to make performing CPR for lay rescuers easier and
standards synonymous throughout the US and world.
Although 2019 going forward changes from the 2015 guidelines are, for
the most part, minimal, they emphasize such important things as cell phone use in an emergency,
clarified rates of compression during CPR, when lone rescuers should use an AED or begin CPR,
and more...
Think Safe works diligently to provide updated materials, training
courses, and products to reflect these changes so that we can continue being a comprehensive,
reliable resource for your safety needs.
